Gummibears nail art

These gummibears are such bad liars.... I can see right through them!

I had myself some fun with my clear 3D sculpting gel ;-) I mixed a couple of OPI Color Paints polishes with a blob of sculpting gel to build up the gummi bears bit by bit!

They are so SQUISHY!!!

Snowy landscape nail art

The first snow has been sighted here in the Netherlands! It's not staying on the ground yet but gosh, it's pretty to watch :D Who knows, maybe tomorrow will be white!

I love doing landscapes like this. This was an easier one in the sense that there wasn't much detail to add, besides the trees.... but also hard because even when I was done, it felt unfinished, with all the white parts.

Hand painted with acrylic paint as always. I always use a polish base to paint on, and a polish top coat, so I kind of 'sandwich' the paint in between the layers of polish.

Boat ripples nail art

Aye aye, matey! Water we going to do aboat all these ripples!!!

I used Madam Glam Jungle Beat for the sea and the ripples. It's almost too smooth to be real XD

The tiny little boat was made with a piece of balsa wood. It's really soft wood, almost like uhm.... foam? So it's easy to carve. I used a box cutter to carve the miniature boat, painted it, and voilá! Now all we need is tiny little people!

Sign language nail art

I've always wanted to learn sign language! I just know a couple of words, and the alphabet. Can you see what these hands are saying?

The base is the absolutely gorgeous Takko Lacquer Ruby Quartz that I got from Color4Nails. Isn't it magical? There's so much going on in real life that I can't even begin to show in a photo!

I painted the hands with acrylic paint. They could have been better, maybe they look a little bit dirty.... but hey, you have to be able to talk even if you have dirty hands!

Patronus nail art

My mom and I are playing Lego Harry Potter on the Wii, and yes, my mom is super cool like that :-p The other day I was just kind of doodling on my nails, and a Patronus appeared! I added glow in the dark effects for kicks ;-)

I used a variety of Serum No. 5 polishes to draw the moon, the Patronus, and the.... I don't know what they are. Star speckles? I used Serum No. 5 Solar Power, Atomic Peach, Awesome Blossom, Raspberry Delight, and Guiding Lights.

The base is Artistic Nail Design No Taming My Twinkle and it's the perfect base for a starry night. It's also gorgeous on its own, as you can see in last year's review.

Rainy day nail art

I have a secret... I kind of love walking in the rain! It's the ultimate feeling of freshness, like nature taking a shower, and when you get home it's awesome to warm back up!

Me and my mom got caught in a rainstorm the other day and it lifted my spirits :-p I guess I looked a lot like this lady here, except for a red coat instead of a yellow one!

If you like her, she's yours! This lady is in the shop right now as a charm, but I can hang her from a necklace or a keychain if you'd prefer. There's only one of her, once she's gone, that's it!

I used Picture Polish Lakodom for the base, it's the perfect balance between gloomy and fresh. The drops were made with What's Up Nails Alchemy powder, so magical when the nails move!

The absolutely gorgeous base polish is Emily de Molly Too Many Moves that I got from Color4Nails. The shift is amazing!

On top, I sponged some SuperChic Lacquer 40 Winks, Cherub & Dopamine. They really add the sparkle to the galaxy base, I love it :D

I painted the design with acrylic paint. I spent a lot of time adding more different shades of the same color scheme, trying to give the fish depth and texture.

I started with a base of A England Nocturne that I got from Color4Nails. I painted the design with acrylic paint, and added various glitters from Twinkled T on top of a wet top coat. Maybe I shouldn't have done the lips, but I was caught up going with the flow :-p

Arrrgggghhhh isn't this little guy so ssshhhexy! Or should I say.... foxy?

SuperChic Lacquer Wonderwall & Rum-Billie make up the gorgeous gradient together. I painted the foxy with acrylic paint.

I top coated, took pictures, looked at him again.... And added an eye patch! Now he's a pirate fox! Aarrgghh!!!

Glow in the dark nail artist nail art

Way to state the obvious :-p But still, this seemed like a great way to celebrate our common nail loving-ness!

The base is A England Nocturne that I got from Color4Nails and I mattified it later on with a matte top coat. There's also some purple Holobae glitter in there, courtesy of Twinkled T ;-) I painted the design with white acrylic paint before adding Serum No. 5 Wisteria-ously Bright and Yes, She Can! to it for...

...the glow effect! It's faaaaaaabulous! Now even ghosts and spiders that watch me while I'm sleeping will know that I like to paint tiny things on my nails :-p

Pastry murder nail art

Those flakies are amazing!!! I used What's Up Nails Tropic Flakies over a base of Madam Glam Perfect Black, and they shift and swerve and wow me all over the place :D

The other nails are equally breathtaking. It's Lilypad Lacquer No More Chances that I got from Color4Nails. The color, the holo.... absolutely perfect!

The pastries are hand painted with acrylic paint. They were a lot of fun, although somehow the eyes were the hardest part. I don't know why, they don't even look that intricate. But I kept messing up the outlines!

Ho ho holiday collection! Artistic Nail Design has come out with a festive rainbow of a collection that will knock your socks off with its shimmer and shine!

The Holiday Hangover collection is bursting with happy holiday colors that are easy and smooth to apply, have great coverage and even better drying time. I've come to depend on the excellent quality of this brand, and each shade comes in regular polish as well as gel polish. This makes the collection all the more versatile ! I can wax poetic all I want but words will never do these polishes justice, so let's just jump right in!

Eat crow! nail art

Crows are just such romantic creatures... I mean, they didn't call it Crowmeo and Juliet for nothing!

I used SuperChic Lacquer Wonderwall & Awkward Turtle (love that name!) for the base gradient. I think this color combo is perfect for the transition to fall! I'm really going to miss summer...

The crow is hand painted with acrylic paint. I really liked painting the little feathers and having it come out this well!!

Oh how I love that voodoo that you do! Whaddaya think, is my voodoo doll cute or creepy? Someone must have one heck of a headache with that pin sticking out :-p

The lovely base is Picture Polish Haven that I got from Color4Nails. It's perfect!

I was playing around with some Flower Confetti from What's Up Nails, seeing what I could make with their round shape. Buttons came to mind! Buttons led to voodoo dolls and thus today's design was born :D

The doll is hand painted with acrylic paint, and ofcourse the button holes are hand painted too!

3D candy corn nail art

Happy Halloween-month! Let's start things off slowly and without blood or gore :-p Now, we don't actually *have* candy corn in the Netherlands... but a US friend was sweet enough to send me some so I could FINALLY discover what it is! Why did I always think it was hard candy instead of soft?

The design is made the same way as my recent M&M's design, with Madam Glam Sugar 3D gel paint as the basic shape, and then some acrylic paint on top. It's just so much fun!!!

Autumn Applejack nail art

I can't find the right words... What do you say about a design you've worked on for hours? What pun would be funny enough to convince people to pleeeeeease enjoy what you've made?

It's all painted with acrylic paint and a ridiculously tiny brush. And yes, it does in fact have more than three bristles :-p When the nails are viewed from up close like this, you can see all the squigglies and mistakes. But when you zoom out.... it's like magic!

Multichrome flowers nail art

I had this multichrome idea in my head for a while now but I had trouble finding the right way to put it into action. I don't think this is the right drawing for it either but it was time to get it out of my head and into real life!

I really enjoy using these multichrome powders from What's Up Nails. They are so versatile! In this case, I used Mirage, Ocean, Rainforest and Suntan powders to color in the flowers & leaves.

I paired the color shifting flowers with a polish that is equally intriguing, the beautiful Illyrian Polish Voodoo that I got from Color4Nails. It's shown here in full sunlight but it shows an awesome shift in more muted lighting!

Holo stars nail art

In case nobody has told you yet today: you're a STAR!!! Shine on, babe!

This is really super rainbow-y in real life. It's amazing! I like the contrast with the dusty dark shade that is Artistic Nail Design Grease Monkey, it makes the holo stand out. And Radiate My Love brings up the happiness a bit and frames the stars so nicely :)

But what I LOVE the most are these holo flakies from What's Up Nails! Although... I might accidentally sneezed while the open pot was in front of me.... and now everything is sparkly XD The couch. The kitchen faucet. My face. EVERYTHING. They clung to my phone so that's extra sparkly now too!

I'm so fawn'd of this design!!! For real doe, I love it deerly :D

The scrumptious background gradient is made with SuperChic Lacquer Wonderwall & Awesome-Sauce. I have @annabean1983 to thank for the design, because she posted a picture of a mug once and it just stuck with me. I HAD to paint it!!

The antlers turned out exactly right the first try at painting them. Bam. Done. The face was more of a challenge but I grew closer to this buck the more time I spent on him!

Negative space hearts nail art

I always say I have a see-through heart, I tell everybody my business. So when I saw a design by @vladamua that reminded me of this, I couldn't help but wear my own version of it :)

I used a trick with Edge Perfection's liquid latex to make the hearts, while applying a gradient of Parrot Polish Dakotas and Bloom Tarantula Purple. I finished with an OPI matte top coat and that's kind of it. Nothing too complicated!
