Artistic Nail Design Urban Distressed collection swatches & review

February is the month of luuuuvvvv and these soft shades play right into that! They are the Artistic Nail Design Urban Distressed collection, and while the theme may not be all that lovey dovey, they do strike a soft spot in my heart <3

All of these polishes have the sweetest softest shimmer. Not the in-your-face kind of shimmer but a soft gleam that is barely noticeable in normal lighting but adds extra shine & depth. I've also taken photos in the sun to make the shimmer come out and play! Let's get starrrrrrted!!

Acid Washed Angel is such a soft pink, and it has the most subtle pink shimmer that is hardly visible. It went on sheer and a little streaky, but it all came together with the 3rd coat. Dry time totally makes up for it though!

Glammed Up Grunge is an old timey kind of pink with a purplish gleam. It's a very seductive shade! I wouldn't have guessed that this would appeal to me, and I was right because it doesn't XD I like it paired with Acid Washed Angel though. It was a little bit streaky at first but it turned out I only needed 2 coats! Very smooth formula with fast drying time.

Put your Work Boots on and get the job done! This is a very deep, dusty purple with pronounced pink/purple shimmer. I love it when dark shades are nicely opaque like this, one coat was aaaalmost enough but I added a second for good measure.

Denimist is a muted blue with only the slightest of pink/purple/blue shimmer. It only subtly comes out in the right light, as you can see in the sunlight macro photo. 2 - 3 coats will do the trick and the shade matches the stark blue sky of a cold winter's day.

Rogue Vogue is surprisingly less sheer than you'd expect from such a light color, and compared to the other colors in this collection. It needed 2 coats for opacity and has the slightest blueish gleam that really seems to boost the shine!

Under the Overalls is a light grey polish that is anything but boring. If the light hits it right, it explodes into a beautiful pink shimmer! It went on pretty sheer and a tad streaky, I needed 3 coats to reach opacity and that did the trick. It's actually a very chique, feminine color to wear, pretty dialed back and unobtrusive.
