Artistic Nail Design Holiday Nights collection swatches & review
This might seem a bit crazy here on my blog... I know there hasn't been a review, or swatches, on PiggieLuv.com for a year now but I've been missing it more and more! I got sent the Holiday Nights collection by Artistic Nail Design for some cool nail art to share with you, and you will see those designs over the next few weeks, but I figured hey, why not swatch them as well? Click to see more!
I didn't have a single problem with application, actually they all dried a lot quicker than expected! They're also really glossy without a top coat. All of them are available in both regular polish and gel polish. OK let's dive in!
But First, Champagne! is a shimmery champagne color, doing justice to its name! I used two coats to reach opacity, without a top coat.
You're Not Glistening To Me! is a fiery shimmery orange. WOW this baby burns! I used two coats and this really reminds me of warmth & cosy fire. Maybe sunsets too.
Mischief Is My Middle Name is such a bright red! My dad is a big fan of red and I think he'd be crazy enough to pay me just to wear this bright red polish any time I see him. My experience with reds is that they are slightly harder in reaching opacity. In this case, I used two coats which satisfied my opacity needs, but in some lighting condition I could still slightly see my white tips shining through. If you're really a perfectionist, I'd go with three coats ;-)
I saved the best half of the collection for last! Falling In Lust-er is a beautiful deep magenta with sparkles up the wazoo! It's very opaque, great for gradients and just overall delicious. I used two thin coats without top coat. In bright lighting conditions, this one displays a beautiful depth that I can't wrap my head around.
Matching up perfectly with Falling In Lust-er, I've Been Good-ish is a deliciously purple sparkler. It's pretty pigmented so a single coat could have done the trick, but I decided to go with 2 coats anyways.
No Taming My Twinkle is the last in this collection and it's so perfect for the season, both for the holidays and winter in general. I used two coats but I had some staining because of the dark blue pigment, so make sure to use a good base coat with this one!
These last three are just my absolutes favorites!! What do you think?
The Holiday Nights collection in all of its glory is available in both regular nail polish and gel polish from Artistic Nail Design. You can also find them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for more pictures!
I received all of the polishes in this article as a press sample. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.
