Japanese monastery nail art
We haven't seen one of these in a while, a whole painting! Recreating paintings always takes me forever but I enjoy it, it feels like that much time makes the design really grow on me. I also recorded a video tutorial :) Click to see more!
I've had this design done and edited for months but just never got around to posting it! I had just cut my nails and I guess I made them a little too short, because I did NOT like the way this design looked on my sad little (uneven) stumps :-p
I have no idea who the original painting belongs to, I found the image on Google and tried to track down the source but no such luck. That always drives me nuts, I want to be able to give proper credit.
The base is, as always, OPI Alpine Snow. All of it was painted with acrylic paint and my Roubloff 00 detail brush.
In the video, you'll see me using some kind of weird purple stuff on my fingers. If you don't know what that is: it's Liquid Palisade from Kiesque.
