X-ray nail art (glow in the dark)
Wouldn't we all like to have X-ray vision sometimes? I used to think my mom had the ability to see through walls, she always, ALWAYS knew what I was up to! I painted some X-Ray nail art for laughs, plus a video tutorial! Click to see more!

High voltage power lines nail art
You might have noticed a trend in the last few nail art designs I've posted. They all have to do with electricity and power, I thought it suited the High Voltage collection from SuperChic Lacquer pretty well, don't you? So today I have some power lines for you, but watch out, don't touch, because they'll give you one hell of a shock! Click to see more!

Plugged in nail art
This is the most annoying nail art I've ever done. It was SO inconvenient having two nails essentially on a leash! Obviously it's not for actual wear, just for fun. The background polish is SuperChic Lacquer Hot Finger and I think I should have used a thinner wire, and just glued it to the nails instead. Oh well :-p Click to see more!

Warning! Danger! High voltage nail art
Warning! Danger! High voltage! The words have lost all meaning to me, all I can do is sit and stare. SuperChic Lacquer Electrified is the perfect flashy yellow for a warning sign but I just want to gawk at it and wiggle my nails in the sun. Ofcourse I have a video tutorial too, so click to see more!

The Flash getting a ticket, freehand nail art
Who's ready for the first season finale of The Flash tomorrow? I'm a big fan of superheroes, and the new Flash series has something whimsical, they don't take themselves too seriously and I LOVE that in a TV show. I mean, Buffy... *sigh* I whipped out my bottles of SuperChic Lacquer Splice and Tripped and made a nice smooth gradient, to paint The Flash getting a ticket for speeding! Click to see more!

May flowers nail art - HPB Linkup
I don't usually do flowers... They get painted so often, usually by people much better at them than I am. But the theme for this month's HPB linkup is 'May flowers' so here they are! There's some tiny lines in this design but I have a video tutorial if you want to see how it's made. Click to see more!

Nail polish seduction video ft. SuperChic Lacquer
I was recently contacted by Jennifer from SuperChic Lacquer about sharing some of her products with you. I haven't really been doing reviews lately but I had seen pictures of this collection and I just could not say no! I figured a nice way to show off the beautiful holo of these polishes would be to make a video! I'd never done this before so I had no idea what I was getting myself into, or how to go about it.
Tools I used to record this video are a small square mirror, a white paper backdrop, the sun, my Sony DSLR A5100 and the complete 8-piece High Voltage collection from SuperChic Lacquer.
The backdrop kept being blown away by the wind. The sun overheated my camera, and me. It was hard to see the screen on the camera because of the sun. The sun kept disappearing behind a cloud right when I was recording. All in all it took me 8 hours to film and edit a 49 second video. So you'd better enjoy it!

I received all of the polishes in this article as a press sample for an honest review. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.

Balancing mice nail art
Today I have some nail art with a personal story behind it! Let's talk about the art first. The original picture is an illustration from a children's book by Ingrid and Dieter Schubert, called 'Mijn Held' (my hero). I tried my best to copy it exactly but it might have turned out a little bit more colorful :-p What can I say? It's my own personal touch. Click to see more!

Aquarelle/water color city skyline nail art
Ahhh don't you just love color? I swear, rainbows have me hooked. I saw a beautiful one the other day and I was JUST in time to take a photo, because as soon as I had taken the shot, it was gone in 2 seconds! These aren't inspired by that, at all :-p But maybe you want to see my video tutorial! Click to see more!

Colorful glow in the dark Northern Lights nail art
This was a spur of the moment nail art design, I had some glow polishes in front of me and I just went for it. Pretty cool, right? I think it looks like Northern Lights, it's completely freehanded with glow in the dark nail polish and some black & white acrylic paint. And ofcourse I have a video tutorial! Click to see more!

Cute piglet nail art for my 3rd blogiversary! Parteyy!!
In honor of my three year blogiversary, I painted tiny little baby PiggieLuvs nail art! Yes, these are freehand. My shoulders cramped up after spending time trying to draw the perfect lines but hey, it's worth it. Ofcourse I have a tutorial for anyone who wants to recreate these 'biggetjes', or anyone who just likes to watch. Click to see more!

Streetrat Aramis nail art
Don't rats make the most amazing pets? I know I love my boys (and some of you are big rat fans as well) so it was about time I did a rat inspired nail art design! I painted my boy Aramis on my nail, kind of street style chic, it was inspired by a drawing by Shennaki Tattoo. I hope you like it! Click to see more!
