Fisherman's sunrise nail art (glow in the dark)
With summer fast approaching, I get reminiscent of those warm summer sunrises. I had two polishes that I really wanted to use together and this nail art design is the result! I used the one stroke technique for the background using polish instead of acrylic paint, so I have a video tutorial to show you how that works. Click to see more!
My dad and I used to watch the sunrise in the summer. We'd pick a day, get up really early (I mean like REALLY early, guess why we don't do this anymore nowadays) and drive to a lookout spot somewhere out of town. We'd see the first glow coming from the horizon and slowly nature would start to wake up, birds started chirping and flying around and we even saw a beautiful little doe once, right in the headlights of our car (which was parked btw, no flattened animals on my watch) and I'll never forget that sight. Right here in our own little piece of the world.
So OK, we didn't visit the pier because we don't have any of those around here... but it seemed nice to use as a silhouette!
I used Jior Couture Spring Chicken for the sun and Spring Cleaning for the background/sky. The clouds are just watered down white acrylic paint, and the silhouette was painted using black acrylic paint and my Roubloff 00 brush from AdNails Manucure. Want to know more about my brushes? May I suggest checking out my article about nail art brushes, it will be very informative!

I received Jior Couture Spring Chicken & Spring Cleaning as gifts from the maker. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.
