Ms. Sparkle presents: the Purrr2CATterNow collection

Hiya! I'm gonna show you something brand spankin' new today, and it's a Dutch indie brand called Ms. Sparkle! Simone was kind enough to send me three of her polishes to try out and share with you guys, so let's take a look, shall we?

Like I said, it's a Dutch indie brand and I LOVE that Dutchies are conquering the indie market! Go Dutch girls!

Ms. Sparkle is 5-free, cruelty free, vegan and EU-certified. I'm showing you the Purrr2CATterNow collection today, this collection has 8 polishes, and each comes with the funny and crazy kitty ear glitters!!! They're all crazy, a bit over the top, but most of all fun, and I feel like they really represent the indie maker behind them :D

What I love most about this collection is that $2 of every sold polish will be donated to a cat shelter here in the Netherlands!

Raving Kitty

Let's start this off with Raving Kitty. This little feline is a party animal! It's a neon red-pinkish base with white hearts (which I love), as well as light grey and light pink kitty ear glitter, and blue stars.

The glitters don't stick out in an annoying way, I'm showing you this polish with three coats of Raving Kitty and only one coat of top coat on top of it.

The polish dries pretty fast and I love that neon color! When using a glitter polish, I'd recommend putting the bottle upside down for a few minutes to get enough glitters on your brush. This works a lot better than shaking, which might result in bubbles in your polish!
There is some skill involved when using this polish! See, the glitters need some placement, or the kitty ears will stack up. But when you dab the glitters on like you would with any other glitter polish, the base color won't cover the whole nail. So here's what I did:
- Paint your first coat normally and don't mind the glitters or the coverage too much.
- When you apply your second coat, make sure your glitters are somewhat evenly spaced and again, don't mind the coverage.
- For the third coat, load your brush with as much base and as little glitter as possible, and paint an easy coat of neon goodness. Et voilá!

Rasta Kitty

Rastah kitteh maaan!!! Can you hear the reggae music?

This is a fun little glitter topper, so it has a clear base with black kitty ears, yellow stars, red & neon yellow hex glitters and a bunch of small neon green and neon yellow glitters. And look what happens in UV light...
Tadaaaa!!! To be clear, this is NOT glow in the dark like you're used to seeing from me (sorry, I just lovez mah glow in the dark polish!). This will only light up while exposed to UV light, like from a black light. Turn of the lights and the effect is gone.
I'm showing you one coat of Rasta Kitty over two coats of OPI Mod About You, topped with one coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat. Some dabbing was required, but over all this polish performed well!

Hipster Kitty

Yeahh.... not so much a fan of this one. This polish is a pearl based polish, so that's probably where it went wrong :-p It's totally not my style, but it might be yours! There's red and light pink hex glitters in this mix, as well as (surprise surprise) black kitty ear glitters.
There's also a few black moustache glitters in this polish but I couldn't get them out. My dear readers, I spent the better part of an hour trying to fish them out with sticks, by rolling the bottle, shaking it, nothing would help. I saw two of them stuck to the glass, but alas, there was no way to reach them!
So did you see anything you like? You can visit the Ms. Sparkle shop to purchase your very own catty bottle and help the Dutch cat shelters! There's lots of other crazy fun stuff to see as well :D Or you can follow on Facebook, Tumblr and Instagram!

A bit thanks to Simone for letting me get a taste of her fun, freaky polish and feel free to let me know what you think about them in the comments!!!
