Hand painted black & white butterfly

Hello my sweet readers! I know, yet another butterfly mani, right? I made this butterfly a few days ago, I hand painted it without an example picture. I really love it! Click to see more pictures!

Prettyyyy!!! It's a lot different from what I usually do, I've never done an all black & white mani before. I'm also not a big fan of french tips on my nails, but I'm practicing my french manicure skills for a friend's wedding :D

So I was practicing doing french tips, and I thought it would be nice to paint a butterfly on top of it, having the wings see through at certain points. I painted this design with black and white acrylic paint, and my super awesome Christrio detail brush, op top of a base of OPI Pirouette My Whistle.

I painted the outlines first, and it looked weird. So I slowly started to add some lines for the upper part of the wings, and when they were done, I filled in the rest of the wings.
