Who's up for some indie drama?
I should start by saying that I'm writing this post to inform you, not to make anyone look bad. I share with you my polish adventures, that includes the bad experiences too. Today I have quite a story about a big purchase I made in a store called Polish Me To Go.

5 nail art trends that aren't for me
Hi there! I'm sure you all see some weird nail polish related trends flash by on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or anywhere. Here's my list of trends I'm not participating in and why! (in no particular order)
Number 1: Textured polish
I don't like sand on my nails. So I would probably just end up topcoating the hell out of that mani, taking away all the fun of a textured polish.
Number 2: Crackle polish
Honestly, I've never seen a crackle mani that I liked. To me it all looks dirty and wrong.
Number 3: Fish egg manicures
SO impractical! I can totally see myself losing those tiny beads all over the place and my mani being screwed up. Plus, I can't imagine that it would feel natural, having beads on your nails.
Number 4: Tribal nail art
I'm sorry, it's just not for me. I have great respect for those of you who can paint a beautiful tribal because it really looks cool. I just don't think it's pretty. So no tribal patterns for me!
Number 5: Half moon manicures
They look awful on me. 'nuff said.
Thanks for reading and keep an eye out for a post about the trends I'm definitely on board with!
P.S. No pics in this post because I'm very strict about only using my own photos, I don't want to use anyone's work unless I have express permission!

Eurovision Song Contest
Goodmorning! It was a late night for me last night, I stayed up late to see who won the Eurovision Song Contest! My congratulations to Denmark! Emmelie de Forest is a beautiful girl and she has an amazing voice. The song deserved to win!
I'm so happy with the performances from last night! Everybody really tried their very best to put on an entertaining show. She dresses were lovely, the people pretty and the voices gave me chills sometimes. I love Eurovision!
Our very own Anouk from the Netherlands placed 9th. We were swept off of 8th place at the last minute by Italy. I've never had much faith in the Dutch performances at Eurovision, I mean, we haven't placed in the final since 2004. And the songs truly have been crap. But Anouk did an amazing job! Her outfit was very simple and down to earth, but she looked absolutely beautiful! And that voice of hers, wow... She has so much control over her voice, and a wonderful sound. I'm proud to be a Dutch girl right now :D

Using paper to make stripes
Some of us aren't that good at using stripers... I wanted to find out if the same effect could be achieved by using paper, and good news: it's possible! You'll want to find out what works best for you.

Nail art supplies case
Getting enough of my polish case posts? I've got something slightly new for you! I have a fast growing stash of nail art supplies and no place to keep them. I had a wooden case just lying around and it was the perfect size for nail art supplies. So, I got going with my foam and my fabric again and made a system very much like my polish case, but for supplies.
There's everything I own: my wheel with fimo slices, rhinestones and hollow shapes. My stamping plates and there's about 6 of them in the black booklet. All of the loose glitters, holo shapes, and some nail care products like a glass file and hydration formula.
I'm planning to update this case soon because I have some things coming in the mail. So keep your eyes open for some new pics soon!

Gucci! Gesundheit!
Oh Gem Crush collection, how I love thee! Yet again, these polishes brightened up my nail art with some happy glitters. This is the first time I used the metal decals I got from Mini Mil's and I did my research. I googled pictures of Gucci and tried to match the style of some of the clothes in my nail design. Did I succeed? You decide!

Curly nail art with glitter
While I was looking at my stash with all kinds of happy feelings, I saw I've Been An Awful Good Girl from Different Dimension. I got this polish a while ago for review, and it fit my mood perfectly! I like to do some freehand work when I'm happy, so this is what I made!
The dark purple dragged a bit with application of a top coat, but that's okay because it's ancient.
Do you like the curls? I used to draw these in my school books, so it was really cool to try and draw them with polish!

Nail art supplies from Mini Mil's
For all the Dutch girls: there's a shop you really need to know about. I've talked about this shop before in THIS post.
A while ago, I ordered from Mini Mil's, an online hobby shop in the Netherlands. On her website, she asked for photo's of what you made with your order, so I sent her an e-mail, we talked a bit about nail art and my pic got featured on her website. So cool!
And then a while later, I got an e-mail from her asking if I wanted to help her with the website. She would send me some stuff and I'd take photos of my nail art using those supplies. How can I say no to that! I got these products completely for free, all I have to do is send her my pics. She doesn't even know I'm writing this blog post about her shop.
You really NEED to know about this online store, because the prices she charges are VERY reasonable. I'm window shopping in online stores all the time, but the prices always seem unreasonably high in Dutch shops. At Mini Mil's, any vial of loose glitter is €0,55 and fimo canes are only €0,50! That means that you can get 100 - 130 slices of fimo for the same price other shops charge for 30 pre-sliced slices. That's what I call a good deal!
Let's take a look at what she sent me:
This is everything that was in the package. It included metal foil decals, loose glitter, beads, hollow shapes, holographic shapes, several fimo canes and a pick up pencil.
